Day One


Welcome to Day 1 of My Daily Avocado. Over the course of the next 365 days, I plan to daily post small excerpts of a book about getting and staying healthy in your mind and body.

One of the things that has inspired me is my personal use of daily devotions that keep me focused on spiritual things. My Daily Avocado will be a similar format, but will help you stay focused physically and mentally.

My goal is to inspire, encourage, and challenge others and myself in this endeavor. I have had a long-time desire to write a book, and after years of saying, “Someday,” I have decided to seize the present moment. In many ways, writing a book and getting healthy go hand-in-hand, since both require determination and discipline.

If at any time you have facts or stories that pertain to healthy living, I could probably use it! (Stories and facts that don’t directly pertain to healthy living can be used as analogies and be useful too.) Please email me any of these thoughts—it might be just what I need on that day when my mind has run out of ideas.

Also, I would appreciate any feedback on what I have already posted.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart all who are following this journey with me. Never mind the fact that I am trying to motivate you—you are motivating me to keep writing by being my audience. I am excited to begin!
